Supporting the release of his upcoming debut album LEMONS and following on from his impressive recent track ‘Plastic Moon’, Nick Leng’s ‘Music To Clean The House To’ is an exciting new experience from the newcomer. Despite a less-than-serious title, the track is hard-hitting from the start. The slamming opening chords set the tone, with the music video showing Leng destroying a Hammond organ in a field perfectly in time with every chordal crash. It quickly takes a turn into more serene settings, with relaxed harmonies, a jaunty vocal and thudding percussion combining to create a much calmer atmosphere. Not that the track stays calm, with ambient soundscapes and creepily edited electronics being represented on-screen by a genuinely disconcerting mannequin.
